The Snows of Yorkshire
"The Snows of Yorkshire" is a family saga spanning six centuries, and tells the story of the Snow family (originally spelled Snowwe) and the house in which they live. The book has five parts and starts in 1415, the year of the Battle of Agincourt. The story moves on through the Elizabethan age, and then the 1700s, and next into mid-Victorian days. In the last part it is brought up to date in the 21st century. The idea for this book formed in my mind because there are many places in England where, for hundreds of years, one family has been a valued part of the community, contributing to local life, and memorials in the parish church also show their contributions to England as a whole. The story of "The Snows of Yorkshire" grew out of my affection for England and its history.

Before There Were Trolley Dollies
When I was an air hostess in the 1950s and 1960s it was considered a glamorous job and was highly sought after. In this book I share my experiences and tell stories from the hilarious to the harrowing, the factual to the funny, and about the famous and the gossip. The book tells almost everything you ever wanted to know about what it was really like, when everything was so different, back in the golden age of passenger flying... before there were trolley dollies...
